Defense analyst Lt. Gen. (retd) Naeem Khalid Lodhi says that as it is the first visit as Army Chief, it is not possible to comment on its results at present.
Talking to Voice of America, he said that the direction of Pak-US relations can only be gauged from the meetings held there and the declaration issued after them.
According to him, it is important that whenever a new army chief is appointed, a visit to America is required.
The issue of supply of defense equipment by the United States to Pakistan
