Russia proposes meetings between nuclear states in 2024

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said on Tuesday that Moscow proposed that five states that officially hold nuclear weapons, including Russia, the United States, China, the United Kingdom and France, organize a meeting in 2024.

“We have outlined our proposals, on the agenda and the approximate schedule. In the near future [we] may receive some feedback from the other members of the ‘five’,” Ryabkov told reporters.

Russia, as the coordinator, has no plans to hold any meetings with the group in 2023.
