The conversation took place on the sidelines of the seventh edition of The Future Summit, a two-day event that brought together futurists, entrepreneurs, innovative thinkers and investors on November 15 at a local hotel in Karachi.

He continued without giving further details. “We will not only provide services to hospitals but also expand our services to other sectors. However, we will start with the healthcare sector.”

Taji, who said he was visiting Pakistan for the third time, said he was impressed by the performance of Pakistani startups, which he described as “intelligent and innovative”.

“We’ve seen Pakistani startups come in as second runners-up to Saudi startups in previous events like the LEAP [tech conference] in Riyadh a few months ago. That’s great,” he said.

Head of PXDX and Gabriel Jobs said that there are huge opportunities for Pakistani startups under Vision 2030. This program has been introduced by the Saudi authorities to diversify the kingdom’s economy and reduce its dependence on oil.

Taji continued, “Pakistani startups can expand their business in Saudi Arabia because they [Saudi authorities] are now allowing it. With the help of Saudi businesses, they can set up their own companies there that are 100 The interest shall be in their name and in their possession.” And added that the opportunities for foreign investors in the kingdom are becoming more and more easy.

Under Vision 2030, the Saudi government is seeking to develop public service sectors such as health, education, infrastructure, entertainment and tourism, among other things.

Speaking to Arab News, Kuwaiti global tech entrepreneur, investor and innovation expert Dana Al Salem said Vision 2030 has clear objectives.

He said that the countries that are attracting many investors have a very clear purpose in which they share the world. For example, Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 is very clear.

Al Salem, who attended the summit as a speaker, said that Pakistan needs to work on its image abroad.

“It is very important to change people’s perception of Pakistan,” he said.

The Kuwaiti expert advised Pakistan to focus on the agricultural sector to deal with the food shortages faced by countries around the world, saying that the South Asian nation is blessed with water resources that can increase its overall production.
