Concern over outlawed TTP sanctuaries in Afghanistan, will respond effectively: Pak Army ISPR

Army Chief’s visit to Quetta Garrison will not rest until the scourge of terrorism is uprooted

The Pakistan Army has expressed its determination that the armed forces will not rest until the menace of terrorism is eradicated from the country.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, the army chief visited the Quetta Garrison, where the Army Chief was received by the Corps Commander Quetta.

According to the statement, the Army Chief was briefed on the recent terrorist attack in Zhob. Meanwhile, General Asim Munir paid tribute to the martyrs.

According to ISPR, the Army Chief visited the injured soldiers at CMH Quetta, appreciated their service to the nation and appreciated their determination.

According to the spokesperson of the Pakistan Army, the armed forces of Pakistan have serious reservations about the safe havens and free operation of the outlawed TTP in Afghanistan. It is expected that the Transitional Afghan Government will not allow its territory to be used for terrorism against any country in the true sense and in line with the commitments made in the Doha Agreement.

According to the statement, involvement of Afghan nationals in terrorist activities in Pakistan is another major concern that needs to be addressed. Such attacks are intolerable and will be met with an effective response by Pakistan’s security forces.

According to ISPR, the operation against terrorists will continue indiscriminately and the armed forces will not rest until the scourge of terrorism is eradicated from the country.

It should be noted that ISPR had informed that during the attack in Zhob district of Balochistan and during the operation against terrorists in Sui, 12 soldiers were martyred while five attackers were killed in retaliation.
