In order to promote cultural exchanges between Pakistan and China, the exchange and exhibition “Chinese Culture Hour” was held at COMSATS University Islamabad.
To build cultural bridges and highlight China’s vibrant and diverse culture, students showcased their knowledge of Chinese calligraphy, tai chi, kung fu, cooking, tongue twisting and Chinese music.
According to Gwadar Polo, the campus was filled with a lively atmosphere of Chinese culture, and students enthusiastically displayed their knowledge and appreciation. The art of calligraphy captivated the audience by expressing the fascination of kanji and skillfully explaining the meaning of each stroke.
The performance of Tai Chi and Kung Fu epitomized the essence of traditional Chinese martial arts, which showcased the students’ excellent body control and graceful movements and drew the admiration of the audience.
In the food show, a variety of delicious Chinese dishes were pleasing to the five senses. The students showcased their exquisite cooking skills by preparing dishes such as spicy chicken, meatballs, fried noodles and fried rice. An innovative combination of local cuisine elements and adding a unique touch.
Twisting the tongue and playing music creates a fun and lively atmosphere. The students spoke fluent Chinese and performed melodious songs, introducing the diverse and fascinating aspects of Chinese culture.
Carefully selected, covering various aspects of Chinese culture, to provide students with more educational material, as a source of inspiration, and better understanding of Chinese culture, in order to further support the teaching of Chinese culture in universities, a set of well-equipped books was presented.
Meritorious students were awarded certificates for their outstanding contributions.
