Those responsible for bringing shame to the nation will be brought to justice on May 9: Army Chief. Army Chief General Asim Munir has said that those responsible for bringing shame to the nation on the dark day of May 9 will be brought to justice.
According to Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), Army Chief General Asim Munir visited the Sialkot Garrison and laid flowers at the martyrs’ memorial. The Army Chief paid tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs for the greatness, honor and dignity of the nation.
On this occasion, the Army Chief said that no one will be allowed to desecrate the memorials of the martyrs and the martyrs are a source of pride for the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, government officials and the people of Pakistan. He said that the recent planned tragic events will not be allowed again, the great place of martyrs will always remain in the hearts of Pakistani people, the martyrs are a source of pride for the rank and file of Pakistan’s forces.
The Army Chief said that those responsible for bringing shame to the nation on the dark day of May 9 will be brought to justice. He said that Pakistan and the armed forces always put all the martyrs and their families first, always looking at the great sacrifices of the martyrs with utmost respect and dignity.
The Army Chief appreciated the hard work, dedication, high morale and professionalism of the subordinate formations. General Asim Munir interacted with the officers and men and said that the army should focus on professionalism and internal and external challenges.
According to ISPR, the Army Chief emphasized on focusing on all preparations to deal with propaganda warfare.
It should be noted that in the Special Corps Commanders’ Conference presided over by Army Chief General Asim Munir yesterday, it was decided to trial under the Army Act and the Official Secrets Act against the suspects who attacked the military installations.
It should be noted that after the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan, PTI workers had protested and set fire in various cities of the country.
PTI activists set fire to military installations, martyrs’ memorials, historical buildings, government properties and vehicles, including Jinnah House Lahore, and Pakistan Army declared May 9 as a black day.
