PM Shehbaz and others declared ‘not guilty’ in money laundering reference

Strange are the ways the politics are handled by the powerful institutions in Pakistan. While the world knows the real truth of the Sharif Brothers money lanudering in the mumlikat-e-khudad they are innocent as angels. This perhaps will give the people a motivation to think “well if they can, so we too can”.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has declared Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, his wife Nusrat Shehbaz, and his son Hamza Shehbaz, along with others, innocent in the money laundering reference.

This came after NAB submitted a supplementary report of the money laundering reference to the accountability court.

Shahbaz Sharif’s representative Anwar Hussain appeared in the court and completed his attendance. It should be noted that NAB Lahore filed a money laundering reference against Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his family members.

The Accountability Court Judge Qamar-ul-Zaman conducted the hearing and adjourned the further hearing of the case till May 24.

The decision by the Accountability Court came as yet another relief to the Sharif family, who have been under scrutiny by NAB for several years.
