THIS IS ZARDARI’S SINDH: Armed clash between rival groups claims six lives in Sukkur

On the suapicious eve of Jumatul-Wida Sindh saw blood shed. At least six persons including women and children lost their lives during a fierce armed clash between rival groups in Sindh’s Sukkur city, ARY News reported on Friday.

An armed clash took place between two rival groups in Sukkur in which six persons including women and children were killed while four others sustained injuries. The clash started after a person was killed in a shooting attack.

Later, the rival group carried out a heavy shooting and rocket attack. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sukkur said some people of the group were returning to their homes after Eid shopping when a rival group opened fire on them, leaving one man dead and another injured.

Later, the group launched a rocket attack on the houses of a rival group to take revenge, leaving six dead including three women and children. The bodies and injured persons were taken to Sukkur Civil Hospital.

Sources said the groups have been involved in a land dispute for 15 years and more than 10 persons have been killed in armed clashes between the groups.

Heavy contingents of police have surrounded the area, but the situation remains tense.
