Shocked when they revealed of 26 court cases against Imran in Islamabad only
Former prime minister Imran Khan is the subject of 29 complaints filed in the capital, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) said on Tuesday. Khan filed a petition demanding details of the complaint filed against him and Faisal Chowdhury acted as his attorney in this petition.
According to court documents, the former prime minister has filed 28 complaints against various police departments in Islamabad and a case filed by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
Khan was indicted on 15 counts in a single day on May 26 after his party’s long march against the coalition government, documents show. The case registered at Trenor police station has been quashed, but Khan’s trial in other cases is still pending in court.
The documents also show that Khan was charged in two cases in 2014 and 26 cases in 2022 and 2023.
During the hearing, Chaudhry expressed surprise at the number of complaints filed against his clients, saying he had been asked to attend the hearings but no one had returned their calls.
The judge concluded the hearing by ordering Islamabad police representatives to maintain contact with Chaudhry.
