Syrian President Bashar Assad arrived in the UAE today for an official visit and was accompanied by his wife Asma Assad, the first lady of Syria. He was welcomed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, upon his arrival on the presidential plane in Abu Dhabi.
