Building an International Dream” large-scale youth volunteer activity
Suki Kinari hydropower project is an 870MW run-of-the-river hydropower project being developed in Kaghan Valley, Mansehra district, Pakistan.
Suki Kinari Hydro Private Limited (SK Hydro), in which China Gezhouba Group holds a majority stake of 98%, is developing the project with an estimated investment of $1.96bn.
Ground-breaking ceremony of the project was conducted in March 2017, while operations are expected to be started by December 2022. The plant is forecasted to provide 3,081 million GWh clean electricity per annum to the national grid by 2022.
On March 3rd Pakistan, the SK Project Company of China Energy Construction International Group Haitou Co., Ltd. held a large-scale youth volunteer activity with the theme of “Youth Volunteering to Build an International Dream” at the Al Heid Mart Foundation School where the SK Hydropower Station is located. Contribute to the 30th anniversary of the implementation of the Chinese Youth Volunteer Action with practical actions, and to the 10th anniversary of the “Belt and Road” initiative and the “China-Pakistan Economic Corridor”.
