US will block Russia’s oil supply to Pakistan: Russian Foreign Minister

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said that the US will block Russia’s oil supply to Pakistan.

According to the details, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has expressed his fear that the US will obstruct Russia’s agreement to supply oil to Pakistan.

In a press conference with Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto, the Russian Foreign Minister said that the US will try to stop the Pakistan-Russia energy deal.

Sergey Lavrov said that the United States shamefully and arrogantly prevents every country from doing business with Russia.

It should be noted that Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is currently on a visit to Moscow on the invitation of his Russian counterpart, where he had a delegation-level discussion with the Russian Foreign Minister.

Pakistan could start importing Russian oil after March if it can overthtow US pressure

Russia could start exporting oil to energy-starved Pakistan after March if terms are agreed, and is discussing with Islamabad whether payment could be made in the currencies of “friendly” countries, Russia’s energy minister said on Friday.

Pakistan has been battling a balance of payment crisis with foreign exchange reserves falling to $4.6 billion, barely enough to cover three weeks of imports – mostly for oil.

It said in October it was considering buying discounted Russian crude, citing neighbouring India, which has been purchasing from Moscow.
