The Arab world’s first mission to the moon has been launched. The lunar rover, named the Rashid Rover, took off on Sunday.
This matter has been officially announced by the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center ‘MBRSC’ through its Twitter account. A few days ago, the flight of this moon mission was stopped for some necessary inspections
SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket, carrying the Rashid rover, has successfully launched from the Cape Canaveral launch pad in Florida, the Space Center tweeted.
It should be noted that this lunar rover named Rashid Rover has been developed by the UAE’s own engineers. This is the first moon mission of the entire Arab world, including the United Arab Emirates. Emirates’ Rashid rover has been sent to land on a part of the moon that has not been reached by humans before. Therefore, it has not yet been discovered.
It is expected that after the success of the Rashid rover, the UAE will continue its efforts in this field and more space missions will be sent to the moon.
