Gen. Syed Asim Munir has met the ambassadors of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the United Arab of Emirates (UAE) on Thursday. Gen Asim is the first army chief who headed both the Military Intelligence (MI) and the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). General Ahsanul Haq was the other four-star who led both secret agencies but he was the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee.
According to ISPR’s official statement His Excellency Mr Nawaf Saeed A. Al Milkiy, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to Pakistan and His Excellency Mr Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Alzaabi, Ambassador of United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Pakistan called on General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) at GHQ.
The official statement said that during the meeting matters of bilateral interest came under discussion.
