Karim Zoghib was awarded with one of Canada’s biggest scientific awards (Lionel Bollett Award). Kareem ranks among Canada’s top scientists. He is the inventor of five and a half hundred items. It also has a long-lasting battery. Karim hails from Algeria and has been working in battery technology for the past thirty years and has rendered valuable service. At the moment, he is the head of the Canadian company Hydro Quebec, whose dozens of inventions have made their mark around the world.
The Canadian government says that Karim was chosen for the country’s highest honor this year because his inventions will have the greatest impact on the world now and in the future. Karim was born in Constantine, eastern Algeria, and received his higher education in France after earning a master’s degree in chemistry from the local university. He joined the Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble, France. Then he served for three years in Japan’s well-known national institute “Osaka”. Since 1995 he has been associated with the said Canadian institution. In 2017, he was made the head of this institution. Cream’s inventions are up to five hundred and fifty.
