Pakistan’s Croat Hydropower Station has been operating safely for 100 days.
Good news has come from Kurot area of Punjab province of Pakistan. The Krut Hydropower Station, invested and built by China Three Gorges Corporation, has been operating safely and stably for 100 days, with a total power output of 1.537 billion kWh.
Kurot Hydropower Station is the first hydropower investment project in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. All the units were commissioned on June 29 this year. The power station has a total installed capacity of 720,000 kW, which can meet the electricity demand of a local population of 5 million, and is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 3.5 million tons annually.
