Maryam Nawaz has approached the Lahore High Court (LHC) seeking permission to visit her father and perform Umrah. Approved Passport has been surrendered on court order. Maryam Nawaz says that she wants to go to take care of sick father Nawaz Sharif and perform Umrah in Ramadan. She cannot go abroad as she does not have passport. The court will allow the petitioner to go to London to take care of his father. A two-member bench of the High Court will hear Maryam Nawaz’s petition today.
She further said that no one can be deprived of a fundamental right for a longer period, urging the LHC to pass orders to the deputy registrar to return her passport which she had surrendered complying with order on October 31, 2019.
