Now can someone with the right mind even imagine of inciding riots in the presence of the army personnel? But to him it is possible because he can do it one way oer another.
Minister for Interior Rana Sanaullah Khan on Saturday warned the PTI leadership to exercise restraint and avoid disrupting peaceful proceedings of tomorrow’s by-elections in Punjab.
“The law will take its due course if anyone tries to sabotage the writ of the state by indulging in unlawful activities,” he said.
The interior minister’s warning was also addressed in particular to PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
A day ahead of the crucial elections in Punjab, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikander Sultan Raja on Saturday termed deployment of Pakistan Army troops in July 17 by-polls mandatory.
In a statement, the CEC stressed that the deployment of military personnel was necessary to safeguard voters.
