A special anti-narcotics court has summoned Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah for indictment in a drug case. Of Court for the control of narcotics June 25 is set for indictment of Home Minister in drug case.
The court has issued a written order for the last hearing of the case. The court sought response from the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Home Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan’s request to freeze his assets and bank accounts. The court also directed the lawyers to give arguments on the request for permanent exemption from attending the hearing of Rana Sanaullah’s case.
According to the court order, the co-accused withdrew their petitions against the charges against them and the court dismissed the petitions.
Rana Sanaullah was arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on July 1, 2019 near Sakhiki Point on the Islamabad-Lahore Motorway. The ANF claimed that 15kg of drugs were recovered from his vehicle. He was later released on bail in December of that year.
