In a statement, she said that the masses are bearing the brunt of inflation today because of the agreement signed by the previous government with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). She said Imran Khan pushed the country into the swamp of serious issues.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb on Friday has said that former Prime Minister Imran Khan is responsible for the current dire economic situation and the historic appreciation of dollar.

In a statement, she said that the masses are bearing the brunt of inflation today because of the agreement signed by the previous government with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). She said Imran Khan pushed the country into the swamp of serious issues.

On OCT 02 2010 Global Corruption Report (GCR) has called President Asif Ali Zardari the most corrupt person in the world, issuing details of his assets all over the world to corroborate the claim. According to the report published by GCR, Zardari owns 24 assets in Karachi alone, besides 21 property assets in US and Britain. This includes 29 factories and 26 bank accounts all over the world. The report claims that Zardari’s fortune soared after his marriage with the late Benazir Bhutto. The report claims that more than 500 bank accounts, containing more than $80 million, were seized after Pakistan’s Attorney General requested western countries to investigate suspect bank accounts. It was also revealed that the Bhutto’s usurped millions of dollars from the companies like Bomer Finance, Nassam Overseas and Mariston.

According to a report published in Guardian International edition on 10 Apr 2000 “Sharif was involved in evasion of taxes, money laundering, circumventing procedures and railroading legislation specifically to benefit family concerns,” Farouk Adam Khan, the chief corruption prosecutor, said. “We would like to confront him with information we have collected.” Investigators have been attempting to trace his assets since he was detained following the military coup in October. They claim that he siphoned off “hundreds of millions of pounds” from Pakistan throughout his politcal career, hiding the money in Jersey, Guernsey and Switzerland.

Sources at Pakistan’s national accountability bureau say that Mr Sharif concealed ownership of his Park Lane apartments by registering them in the name of two British Virgin Island offshore companies.

The flats are managed by a firm of British solicitors. The companies have two Swiss bankers as nominees.
