Sometimes politicians seek the hlep of the devil to accomplish their goals. When the Purana Pakistan government was to be formed, Shahbaz Sharif got in contact with Asif Zardari to chalk out their programme. Shahbaz Sharif told Zardari to help him form the new government. Zardari, the shrewd leader, replied that first PPP should be allotted at least 20 seats in the National assembly and 40 in the provincial assembly. According to Haroon Rashid Shabaz Sharif tried to convince Zardari to let the new government be formed first then the allotment of seats will be looked after. But after days of negations, Zardari did not budge. Then one to one meeting via video conferencing was held between Nawaz Sharif and Zardari. For 3 hours they deliberated in vain and nothing materialized.

So our Zardari contacted him and asked for his help. Hussain Haqqani contacted President Biden administration and help came. According to Haroon Rashid it was then that some fellows from the CIA arrived in London at Nawaz Sharif’s residence. At that juncture Bilawal Bhutto was asked to come over to London, when he arrived, the PPP and PML-N agreement was signed in the presence of the CIA fellows. And America was the guarantor.
