According to the new government policy, the names of more than 100 people have been removed from the Exit Control List (ECL). The names of those who have been removed from the ECL include former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, current Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister-elect Hamza Shahbaz. Other names including former president Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur have also been removed from the list. The names of former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, current federal interior minister Rana Sanaullah, railway minister Khawaja Saad Rafique, defense minister Khawaja Asif and development and planning minister Ahsan Iqbal have also been removed from the ECL.
The Minister for Interior Rana Sanaullah, said the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has conveyed to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would take oath as the foreign minister after returning from London where he would hold a meeting with Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon on Saturday advised former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan to wait for the next general elections r He criticised Imran Khan for attacking state institutions. Commenting on the demand for resignation from the ECP, Sharjeel Memon said Imran Khan is raising alleged false accusations over the Election Commission of Pakistan after failing to control it.
