Former provincial minister Sharjeel Memon was re-inducted into the Sindh cabinet on friday. He is the same fellow whom a team from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) took into custody on October 23, 2017 after the Sindh High Court (SHC) rejected his bail plea in a corruption case pertaining to the award of advertisements at ‘exorbitant rates’ through the abuse of his power.
At a ceremony conducted at Governor House, Acting Sindh Governor Agha Siraj Khan Durrani gave the oath to Provincial Minister Sharjeel Memon.
He has been assigned the information and archives ministry portfolio, which was formerly held by Saeed Ghani.
The oath-taking event was also attended by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, provincial ministers, advisers, special assistants, and secretaries.
