The daily coronavirus toll in Pakistan continues to rise as the country reported 7,195 new coronavirus cases along with 8 virus-related deaths were reported during the past 24 hours.
Per the data released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Monday morning, after the addition of 8 new deaths, the toll has now surged to 29,105, which represents a ratio of 2.1 percent.
The positivity ratio of the coronavirus cases in Pakistan reaches 12.53 percent, as 7,195 new coronavirus cases emerged in the last 24 hours after conducting 57,401 tests. It takes the total cases tally to 1,374,800.
The number of active cases in the country is 76,617 with 1,113 patients in critical condition.
There were 833 more recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours as the number of total recovered cases reached 1,269,078 with a 92.2% recovery rate.
Punjab, the most populous province of the country, has reported 2,108 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking the provincial tally to 464,431 with 19,260 active cases. In Punjab, 3 more patients died of coronavirus as the death toll reached 13,108. With 96 new recoveries reported, 432,063 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.
Sindh has recorded 3,125 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 526,899 with 44,329 active cases. There were 3 new deaths reported related to the deadly disease as the death toll in Sindh reached 7,741. With 474 new recoveries, 474,829 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 885 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 185,340 with 3,600 active cases. The province reported 1 new virus-related death as the death toll reached 5,975. With 70 new recoveries, 175,765 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Balochistan recorded 31 new cases as the tally reached 33,941 with 281 active cases. The province reported no new death as the death toll reached 367. With 3 new recoveries, 33,293 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Islamabad has recorded 856 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 118,292 with 8,432 active cases. With no new death reported in the Federal Capital, the death toll remained 976. With 175 recoveries, the number of recovered patients is 108,884 in the federal capital so far.
Azad Jammu and Kashmir recorded 182 new cases during the last 24 hours as the tally reached 35,400 with 656 active cases. With 1 new death reported, the death toll reached 751. There were 10 new recoveries in the AJK as 33,993 patients have recovered so far from the virus.
Gilgit-Baltistan recorded 8 new cases during the last 24 hours, as the tally reached 10,497 with 59 active cases. With no new death reported in the province, the death toll remains at 187. With 5 new patients recovered, the number of patients recovered from the deadly disease reached 10,251.
